New Winter coats for everyone

Thanks to Kingswood College Box Hill school community we were able to purchase new jackets for the clients staying with Kara FVS.

For the past 9 years, the Kingswood College school community has marked and celebrated International Women’s Day with an event for parents and students. This year we were delighted to be chosen as the recipient of all funds raised on the night. The event was both insightful and enjoyable with speakers Amanda Ward, Leah Brennan and Belinda Goldworthy. Through the generosity of those who attended over $1,200 was raised on the night In the first week of May we were able to use the donation to purchase a new winter coat for every client staying in our crisis accommodation and our transitional houses. The mothers and children were grateful to receive a new puffer that will keep them warm right through the winter season.
