An Evening with Kara FVS

Our amazing community joined us for an "Evening with Kara FVS" late in March at the Box Hill Golf Club. It was a wonderful opportunity for our Board and team members to meet with our donors and supporters and explain more about the work we do at Kara FVS.

Shelley Tung our chair warmly welcomed our guests and introduced each of our board members. Veronica, manager of Kara FVS gave an overview of family violence and an expalantion of how we support and assist our client. She introduced a video of our new crisis accomodation which steps through all the units, office spaces and outdoor areas, Everyone who was present has donated and contributed to the establishment of the new site.Next, board member Geraldine Bilston spoke about Victims Justice from her persepective as a victim-survivor and the difficulties of finding good outcomes. Dr. Angela Spinney, also a board member, spoke about the long term impacts on family violence on children.

We would like to thank all those who joined us on the night and we thank you for your interest and ongoing support in what has been an incredibly busy two year.
